Pin Oak Lane I
Dublin Core
Title
Pin Oak Lane I
Description
This image comes from a series of 35mm B&W slides that directly engage with the hurricane's invisible ecological impact. The film was developed using water from the contaminated French Broad River after the storm. As such, the images take on visual artifacts and damage borne from their contact with the same water that destroyed the landscape depicted therein.
This particular photo was taken 6 months after the storm in one of the same neighborhoods the photographer visited months prior. The muddy handprints have remained undisturbed on this garage door for six months.
