What bad dream could equal
this monstrous visitation
of wet wind-whipped fury?
What hell-drive fueled
this long reach of
ocean-bred tantrums?
Yet buried beneath the
hopeless wreckage
slumbers the waiting seed
of new life gathering strength,
deeper-rooted now,
willing to be born.
