My mother, lovingly known as “Queen Mother Maggie Belle,” last public appearance in her body was at a Black Wall St AVL Celebration. It was a joyous occasion.
The hurricane put the building under water. It has not recovered. Nevertheless I am grateful for all the music…all the laughter and all the celebration that occurred within.
