Description
Just after sunrise, as my family and I were packing up to drive to Charlotte to be with family after the storm, I wanted to create some sort of memorial, an object of thanksgiving and lament, to mark what we had experienced as a family and as a neighborhood. Marigolds were in bloom in our garden, and I created this heart on Brookshire St in front of our house as I prayed and remembered all we had been through.
