Onlookers and rising water

Like many others, I woke up without cellphone service, and had no idea the extent of the damage brought on the storm. After driving around town, trying to search for answers and determine if I’d be able to make it to work that night (healthcare worker), this was one of my first encounters with the damage. Simply knowing the location and recognizing how I’d never seen it flood in my 25 years of living here, it occurred to me that the damage would be catastrophic in other areas around town. I was in disbelief.
