Storm recovery will be slow, costly
Description
Article discusses the cost of damages from the back-to-back floods. The current estimate is at least $200 million in Buncombe County alone. Damage estimates from Frances are complicated by not having enough time between it and Ivan to properly evaluate the damage. On top of funds to repair homes and businesses, funds are needed to repair infrastructure like roads and bridges, as well as creek beds.
