Businesses have tough days ahead
Description
Article gives the accounts of business owners attempting to clean their businesses in the wake of the flooding in Biltmore Village. One store owner says that anyone within 100 yards of the river and at street level were affected. Several business owners attempted to move what inventory they could to higher floors of their stores, or at the very least higher shelves. A guide on how to clean up after a flood is printed here. In the photo at the top of the page, taken by Steve Dixon, three people attempt to recover furniture that had been swept out of the Antique Tobacco Barn and down to the Silverline Plastics property. In the bottom picture, taken by Ewart Ball, the owner of a gallery in Biltmore Village washes mud off of some of his merchandise with a hose.
