Power to the people
Description
My residence off of Sand Hill Road was without power until October 8th. Until then, charging devices meant walking up to Haywood Road, where most places had gotten power back quickly, and were quick to share the bounty.
Bar counters quickly filled up with power strips (lookin' at you, Diatribe and Cellarest!) The weather was nice enough to sit and plug into outlets on the sides of buildings like the West Asheville Library or Firestorm Books (and maybe sort some donated items while you waited). Residents placed folding tables covered in wires outside of their homes for public charging--or, in this case, dangled them from their windows!
