And Death Rode the Angry Waters
Description
Front page article provides accounts from the neighbors of the Hendrix family, who died in the storm when their mobile home was washed away by the flood waters. When the home hit a large tree, only two members were able to make it out. The home finally stopped moving when it hit a Southern Railway trestle. Photograph taken by Malcolm Gamble depicts the warped remains of the Hendrix's mobile home. Another woman was more fortunate, and rescuers were able to pull her from her home before it washed away.
