Article describes cleanup efforts in Marshall. 5" of mud were deposited all across the town by the floodwater. This mud has turned to dust after drying out. The dust will be flushed away once the water mains are fixed. Health authorities have put the town on a boil-water notice to prevent the outbreak of diseases. Typhoid inoculations have been provided. The American Red Cross is distributing mattresses to anyone who lost their belongings in the flood. A list of businesses that suffered heavy losses are listed here. People have been moved out of the buildings on Main Street and into apartments.
