Description
Article describing residents in Biltmore, who, upon being warned by police of flooding, chose to ascend to the second floors of their homes rather then leave. Off-duty police and firemen were called upon to direct traffic in Biltmore and close the bridge to auto traffic. Workers at the Hans Rees Tannery were able to save a considerable amount of stock from the flood, due to their efforts all night long.
