<text>Article describes the finance committee finalizing their membership, and states that the total raised to aid in relief from the flood is $8500, and looks like it'll increase. The names of donors are listed. Weather data from the 17th is present; showing the amount of precipitation and average temperatures of the day. Swannanoa suffered heavily in terms of property damages, but no human life was lost due to the flood. A few stories of heroism and rescue are printed, followed by reports of property damage in Montreat, Old Fort, and Swannanoa. Previous reports about the lack of availability of ice were partially incorrect; the Carolina Creamery corporation has a limited quantity of ice, and is prioritizing hospitals and drug stores when giving it out. The owner states that if a person has a doctor's note or valid medical concern, they will be able to get ice. Hot Springs is revealed to have suffered very little property damage compared to surrounding towns, and no loss of life. </text>
