Business in a box in a cube
Description
Two weeks after Helene we were allowed to access our 2 10x10 storage spaces at the GoStoreIt on Riverside Drive in Asheville. Inside was 2 years worth of bottle and box inventory for our business, Adoratherapy. We lost everything we worked so hard to buy. We had saved up, had a banner year, and it all become a mushy filthy mess.
It took them 2 weeks to give us access which made it even worse, and then 1 day to empty. Everyone was deeply affected by the challenge. The boxes were stacked 4 high and had tumbled around and were piled up. Removing them was hazardous. We had no PPE and no light. The storage facility was not very helpful and added an extra layer of pressure to the ordeal. Our employees went above and beyond to extract what they could in hope of salvaging something. In the end we would throw it all out, rebrand and start over.
