Title
Asheville Police Department Curfew Announcement
Description
This is the announcement of a city-wide curfew made by the Asheville Police Department on the evening of September 27, 2024 as I could hear it from my apartment in Downtown Asheville. The announcement was played from APD vehicles on a constant loop for several hours.
At this time nearly all communications were down throughout the area and these announcements were one of the only ways to communicate the curfew or any other information to the public.
It was eerie, and reinforced to me that the storm damage was massive.
