Scan of photograph from the Great Flood of 1940. Heavy rain in early August 1940 was followed by a hurricane that brought additional rainfall for five days. According to the donor, this image depicts Biltmore Village during the flood. Building in center has sign reading "Shigley's Drugs / Prescriptions / Sodas / Sandwiches."
