Flood 7/16/1916, looking downriver toward the Southern Railway station from the bank just above the submerged Asheville Power & Light, Avery St Gas Plant & Power Station. Buildings nearest the West Asheville Bridge suffered the heaviest financial losses. Round gold dome of the Southern Railroad Passenger Station at 401 Depot St barely visible to right behind the "X". Asheville Feed Milling Co is seen middle of picture.
