Sepia photo postcard showing wreckage of the home (#1 Biltmore Rd, continuation of Biltmore Ave/Main St S* from Victoria Rd) of Asheville Fire Chief James Cornelius Lipe. Lipe was drowned in the July flood of 1916. Miss Nellie R. Lipe (daughter?) of the same residence was also killed. The bridge is the Biltmore Bridge (1915).
