Oral history interview with Sam, a participant in the project "Informing Emergency Landslide Messaging." This University of North Carolina at Asheville study was conducted by Paige Ambord, PhD, and Caitlin Meagher, PhD. Ambord and Meagher interviewed participants about their expectations and experiences with landslides, debris flows, and other geological hazards during and after Tropical Storm Helene.
Interviewees were given the option to voluntarily donate recordings to Buncombe County Special Collections for preservation and public access.
