Vivianette describes her experiences stepping in as a resource distributor for Latino communities in the rural areas in WNC. She describes her organization going door to door checks, serving as a bilingual interpreter alongside trusted community leaders. She makes connections between her experiences here in WNC and her outreach efforts during Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.<br /><br />This interview was conducted on May 2, 2025 by Keyana Thomas for the Asheville Museum of Science as part of the project "Every Day, Everywhere, Everyone: Reflections on Community and Climate Resilience in WNC," and donated to Buncombe County Special Collections.
