David Easterling is a (now forcibly retired) climate scientist at NOAA whose work has been studying climate change and extreme weather for over 30 years. In David's interview he describes the meteorological conditions leading up to the storm, his own work and his experience finally being "in" an extreme weather event and his work with CoCoRaHS data.
