Photos from Helene exhibition opening
Description
The one-year milestone following Helene was a time of countless community events, remembrances, reflections. One of these was the opening of the exhibition "Photos from Helene" at Little Animals Gallery on September. Incredibly, photographs that had been lost in the flood and later found (by Photos from Helene project founder Taylor Schenker) continue to be reunited with their owners, including some that were identified at the exhibition opening.
It was a deeply moving exhibition & wonderful to be able to spend that time, one year later, looking with others at all the frozen moments that constituted our friends & neighbors' lives before Helene. I hope that people continue to be connected with these precious mementos.
