The flow of water from Helene went downhill. That went to Marion and Morganton. Morganton was overwhelmed, and its water treatment facilities were submerged. Our neighborhood faced the threat of the storm via huge trees downed, trapped by flood waters entering and exiting, and the submission of the water treatement plants and cutoff of water. My husband became sick for 30 days with little to no access to IV fluids, due to the ruin of Baxter. We are those who made it.
