Floods on French Broad and Swannanoa Rivers in vicinity of Asheville, North Carolina. Report no. 0-5975. This report was prepared at the request of the Asheville City Council through the North Carolina Department of Water Resources to aid (1) in the solution of local flood problems and (2) in the best utilization of lands subject to overflow. TVA assembled information on rainfall, runoff, historical and current flood heights, and other technical data bearing on the occurrence and magnitude of floods in localities throughout the region which provide the basis for preparation of the report.
