Neighbors in waiting

As we realized the hurricane had disconnected us from power, radio, internet, and all forms of information gathering, our neighborhood gathered and passed the time with music and shared food. We would later realize so much devastation was happening not even a mile away, but I hold the memories of this music close. This was the last bright spot before the reality of how bad the damage was.
