                <text>Among the mud and debris of Foundy Street in Asheville's River Arts District, pieces of art like this one lay scattered everywhere. Some had been deposited by floodwaters, while others were left to dry by early cleanup crews. Next to the ruins of Foundation Studios, a small cluster of artworks dried in the sun. This one spoke to me, being an image of one of our region's most whimsical creatures. The glass is cracked and caked with mud.</text>
