    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[<span><span style="font-weight:400;">Buncombe County Register of Deeds </span>Drew Reisinger was interviewed by Buncombe County Special Collections Manager Katherine Cutshall on April 14, 2025. This interview took place at Pack Memorial Library and was conducted as part of the Come Hell or High Water Oral History Project for Buncombe County Special Collections, Pack Memorial Library. <br /><br /><span style="font-weight:400;">Reisinger shares his experience of Tropical Storm Helene, with a particular emphasis on quickly establishing the temporary Family Assistance Center to relieve the 911 system [00:22:37] and the Flush Brigade initiative to address public health needs [00:36:19]. He also describes preparations taken in advance of the storm [00:13:28] and its immediate impact on his neighborhood, Malvern Hills [00:17:28]. Highlights include stories of wellness checks through the Family Assistance Center that helped bring peace of mind to loved ones unable to communicate [00:41:27] and saved the life of one resident needing urgent medical attention [00:44:13].
